Excellent Music Close To Home
The 93rd season of the
Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra celebrates Steven Karidoyanes'
15th Season as the Phil's Music Director and Conductor.
This is a season-long celebration! It begins with the symphony by which all orchestras are measured, Beethoven's magnificent Symphony No. 9, the chorale symphony, Ode to Joy. The November concert is a passionate affair, with emotion-packed music by Bartok, Mozart and features Mendelssohn's Scottish Symphony. The Spring Classical concert is a showcase of youth and travel with a world premiere by a young Plymouth composer, and music by Berlioz and Tchaikovsky. South Shore Conservatory's Bay Youth Symphony also joins the Phil in Rimsky-Korsakov's spirited Capriccio espagnole. The whole season rounds out with our festive Holiday Pops, the annual Family Concert and a Super Pops event in May featuring the renowned singing group, Rockapella! Please join us!
