The Golden Anniversary of the Mayflower II deserves a powerful and exciting tribute concert by The Orchestra of America’s Hometown. This program features Dvorák’s much-loved New World Symphony. The Emmy Award winning score to Victory at Sea serves as a stirring musical accompaniment to images of the Mayflower II crossing the Atlantic in June 1957 projected over the orchestra.

Symphony Soirée: Synthesizing New Relationships

Join us on September 15th from 6:30 to 7:30pm upstairs in the Blue Room at Memorial Hall preceding the Phil’s Opening Classical: Fantastic Voyage!

This festive program features the Pilgrim Festival Chorus and Boston Pops POPSearch 2005 winner Frances Botelho-Hoeg performing lively and lovely holiday favorites. As always, children are invited to bring a toy for The Old Colony Memorial Children's Holiday Fund and march in the annual March of the Toys, a charity toy drive -- by kids, for kids.

The Phil also hosts the winner of South Shore Conservatory’s youth concerto competition. Talent and energy are the stars of this show.
