Our compass is pointing due north, with a guest from the North Pole and a weekend full of holiday cheer!  Our annual Holiday Pops weekend includes fun, family, community--and beloved seasonal music!  Astounding tenor Matthew Anderson returns to sing holiday classics.  The Plymouth Community Intermediate School 6th Grade Treble Chorus lends their angelic voices to our three festive holiday concerts, while our annual March of the Toys charity toy drive rounds out this holiday spectacular!

Classic and new music will be on full display as the Phil celebrates the 125th anniversary of Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker.  The orchestra performs music from the ballet, then veers 180 degrees to present A Mad Russian's Christmas, a compilation of Nutcracker tunes as performed by the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.  The program bursts with two colorful medleys, Christmas on Broadway and Christmas at the Movies, a spirited collection of film music from Miracle on 34th Street, The Polar Express, Home Alone and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Acclaimed tenor, Matthew Anderson joins the orchestra to sing Ev'ry Valley from Handel's Messiah, as well as The Christmas Song.  The young chorus from PCIS, Matthew Anderson, and the orchestra combine to present Josh Groban's hit, You Raise Me Up, and God Bless Us Everyone as sung by Andrea Bocelli for the Disney film A Christmas Carol.

Please enjoy a listen to Matthew Anderson and our orchestra from a previous performance.
