Lunch and Listen!

by Kim Corben

In February, we'll launch a new pilot program, Lunch and Listen, in two senior housing developments in Plymouth. The program includes lunch, followed by a performance by a Phil ensemble.  It gives seniors the opportunity to connect with their neighbors, meet the visiting musicians and share a beautiful musical experience together. The purpose is quite simple: to bring joy and fellowship to members of our community...through the power and universality of music. The program is made possible through the generosity of Diane and Gary Glick and is a collaboration among the Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra, The Center for Active Living (formerly the COA), Old Colony Elder Services, and the Plymouth, Kingston and Duxbury Housing Authority.

Connecting Boston's South Shore through music in the following Massachusetts and New England cities and towns: Abington, Boston, Bridgewater, Carver, Cohasset, Duxbury, Hanover, Hanson, Halifax, Hingham, Kingston, Lakeville, Marion, Marshfield, Middleborough, Norwell, Pembroke, Plympton, Rockland, Scituate, Wareham, Weymouth, and Whitman.
