Steven Karidoyanes conducts the Phil in a special concert in partnership with America's Hometown Celebration. Acclaimed violinist, Irina Muresanu, whose performances have been cited as among the Best of Classical Music Performances by the Boston Globe, joins the Phil in Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, a piece celebrating the beauty of nature. Other concert highlights include vibrant music penned by American composers: Whirl, by Cristina Spinei, music inspired by Vivaldi, depicting the chaos of severe weather; George Gershwin’s bluesy, delicate Lullaby; and William Grant Still’s Dances of Panama, orchestral dances steeped in distinct Caribbean flair with infectious rhythms, gorgeous melodies, and an undeniable zest for life.
This special concert sponsored by the Town of Plymouth Promotions Fund in partnership with America's Hometown Thanksgiving Celebration.
On Saturday night, the National Senior Alumni Drum & Bugle Corp Reunion performs. Tickets are required to hear the best of the historic Alumni Drum and Bugle Corps in the nation. An evening filled with sound, drums and historic renditions of some of America's best songs.
